Performance at Convergence seminar – (Re)construction in Interdisciplinary Artistic Practices
The performance draws simultaneously the eye’s and the ear’s attention, giving a tactile form to an otherwise invisible computer algorithm. It affords a glimpse into the laptop’s “black box”, both for the performing musician and for the audience (by projecting the graphic uswr interface). In this sense, the interface explores the inner mechanism of digital sound processing. It is intended to make technologies visible and to engage with them critically.
