06 Mar voice / bass duo
Elisenda Pujals Picó (voice) and Ilya Ziblat Shay (bass) collaborate in a duo since 2007, as well as participating in larger ensemble settings (Peter Schat’s To You, Ilya Ziblat’s On Artistic Freedom in the National Era). They are dedicated to contemporary repertoire for voice and bass, especially to premiering new pieces (working together with the composers). They have performed widely in the Netherlands, as well as in the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy and Israel. In the beginning of 2013 they presented a new program, featuring a new piece by Lula Romero and older repertoire (by Silvia Borzelli, Agostino Di Scipio, Ilya Ziblat). In November 2013 they ran a workshop for the voice / composition students of University of East Anglia, Norwich, and performed at the Sonic Arts concert series (premiering a new composition by Ophir Ilzetzki). In April 2014 they have been invited to play in Israel by the Israeli Composer’s League.
