For young string players, commissioned by conductor Josep Manresa for the Corelli Orchestra (Vila-seca conservatory, Catalonia, ES). Meant to introduce 20th-century instrumental techniques and improvisation to young musicians (ages 12-15).
I had the amazing opportunity to work with these young – and extremely serious – musicians, and to see how they interpret my ideas about composition and improvisation in the most inquisitive and engaged way.
